290.610b Fee schedules.

Sec. 10b.

(1) The department may annually adjust the schedule of fees for reinspections, voluntary registrations, type evaluations, special weights and measures inspections, and other special services requested of the department to provide that each category of fee charged is sufficient to cover the cost of the activities and that the aggregate of fees collected is sufficient to pay for all salaries and other expenses connected with the activities described in this subsection.

(2) An owner or operator of weights and measures that are assessed an administrative fine, civil fine, or a fee as described in this section or section 10a, or any combination of administrative fine, civil fine, or fee, who does not pay the administrative fine, civil fine, or fee within 60 days after written notice of the assessment is sent may be subject to a stop use order, issued by the director, for those weights and measures.
