Journals of both houses compiled to preserve record ofproceedings--number--distribution.

2.080. 1. Copies of the journals of the proceedings of each house ofthe general assembly shall be compiled under the superintendence anddirection of the secretary of the senate and chief clerk of the house, insuch number as may be determined to be necessary by the committee onlegislative research, to be distributed as directed by the committee.After each session of the general assembly, the secretary of the senate andchief clerk of the house shall examine and correct the proof sheets of thejournals of their respective chambers and prepare a table of the errata, ifany errors have been made, and shall prepare an index of the journals. Thesecretary of the senate and chief clerk of the house shall develop and usea common indexing system for the journals.

2. Copies of the journals may be printed and bound into books, may bemicrophotographed, or may otherwise be copied so as to preserve the recordof proceedings and to facilitate the use and storage of the journals.
