Joint committee on public retirement established--membership--terms.

21.553. 1. There is established a permanent joint committeeof the general assembly to be known as the "Joint Committee onPublic Employee Retirement" to be comprised of six members of thesenate and six members of the house of representatives. Thesenate members shall be appointed by the president pro tem of thesenate and the house members shall be appointed by the speaker ofthe house. The appointment of members shall continue duringtheir term of office as members of the general assembly or untila successor has been duly appointed to fill their place whentheir term of office as members of the general assembly hasexpired.

2. No political party shall be represented on the committeeby more than three members from the senate nor by more than threemembers from the house.
