Definitions.

21.600. As used in sections 21.600 to 21.620, unless thecontext clearly indicates otherwise, the following terms mean:

(1) "Bill", proposed legislation drafted in the form of anact or joint resolution for introduction into either the house ofrepresentatives or the senate of the general assembly ofMissouri;

(2) "Filing period", that period of time commencing onDecember first next preceding the opening day of the annualsession for which the bill is filed and continuing up to but notincluding the opening day;

(3) "Opening day", the first Wednesday after the firstMonday in January of each year as fixed by the Missouriconstitution for the convening of regular sessions of the generalassembly.
