Revenue sharing trust fund created--appropriations from, period of,limitations on--fund audited, how.

30.900. 1. There is hereby created in the treasury a fundto be known as "The Revenue Sharing Trust Fund". All fundsreceived by this state from the federal government under theprovisions of the State and Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972(Title I, Public Law 92-512) shall be deposited in this fundtogether with any interest or other earnings on the principal ofthis fund and no expenditure shall be made from this fund forany purpose prohibited by the State and Local Assistance Act of1972 and no expenditure shall be made except by an appropriationmade in the same manner as from general revenue.

2. Other provisions of law notwithstanding, appropriationsshall not be made transferring funds from this fund to otherfunds nor shall funds from this fund lapse into other funds.Appropriations from this fund may be made for periods of twoyears.

3. The state auditor shall audit and report on theexpenditure of money from this fund in the same manner as otherstate funds.
