Determine size and number of reports to be printed.

34.190. The commissioner of administration shall, except as otherwisedirected by the general assembly, have the power to determine the number ofcopies and number of pages of subject material in each document printedunder the commissioner's supervision. The number of reports ordered shallnot in any case exceed the probable and reasonable demands of the statetherefor. Each state agency, before submitting any report to thecommissioner of administration for printing, shall carefully edit suchreport, consolidating statistical tables, condensing or summarizing wherepossible and eliminating all matter which is of interest to individualschiefly and not important information concerning public affairs.
