Interference with fair examination or ratings--misdemeanor.

36.160. 1. No person shall make any false statement,certificate, mark, rating or report with regard to any test,certification or appointment made under any provision of thischapter or in any manner commit or attempt to commit any fraudpreventing the impartial execution of this law and theregulations.

2. No person shall, directly or indirectly, give, render,pay, offer, solicit or accept any money, service or othervaluable consideration for or on account of any appointment,proposed appointment, promotion or proposed promotion to, or anyadvantage in, a position subject to this law.

3. No employee of the personnel division, examiner, or otherperson shall defeat, deceive or obstruct any person in this rightto examination, eligibility, certification or appointment underthis law, or furnish to any person any special or secretinformation for the purpose of affecting the rights or prospectsof any person with respect to employment in a division of servicesubject to this law. Any person who shall violate any provisionof this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor.
