40.200. In acting on the findings and sentence of acourt-martial, the convening authority may approve only suchfindings of guilty, and the sentence or such part or amount ofthe sentence, as he finds correct in law and fact and as theconvening authority in his discretion determines should beapproved. Unless he indicates otherwise, approval of thesentence is approval of the findings and sentence.
