40.270. Any person subject to sections 40.005 to 40.490 whoeffects an enlistment or appointment in or a separation from thestate military forces of any person who is known to that personto be ineligible for that enlistment, appointment, or separationbecause it is prohibited by law, regulation, or order shall bepunished as a court-martial may direct.
