40.495. Sections 40.005 to 40.490 and every part thereof arehereby declared to be independent sections or part of a section,and if any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase ofsections 40.005 to 40.490 shall for any reason be heldunconstitutional, the validity of the remaining sections,subsections, sentences, clauses, or phrases shall not be affectedthereby.
