Commissioner of war service records--appointment--compensation.

41.180. The adjutant general shall appoint a commissioner ofwar service records and such additional clerical and stenographichelp as may be necessary to the compilation and maintenance ofthe records and issuance of certificates provided for in thepreceding section. The commissioner of war service records shallreceive such salary as the adjutant general determines. Thecommissioner and all appointees employed in performing dutiesprovided for in the preceding section shall be war veterans whoentered service from this state and who are residents of thestate at time of such appointment.
