State highway patrol created.

43.020. There is hereby created a force consisting of asuperintendent and other officers, sergeants, corporals,patrolmen, and radio personnel, as herein provided, to be knownas "Missouri State Highway Patrol", which shall be vested withthe powers and duties specified in this chapter and all powersnecessary to enable the members of the patrol to fully andeffectively carry out the purposes of this chapter but the powersand duties hereby conferred on the members of such patrol shallbe supplementary to and in no way a limitation on the powers andduties of sheriffs, police officers, or other peace officers ofthis state.
