Changing name of town.

71.020. Whenever a petition, signed by the voters of anycity, incorporated town or incorporated village of this state,equal in number to one-half of those who voted for the officerstherein at the last election, shall be presented to the corporateauthorities of such city, town or village, praying that the nameof such city, town or village may be changed, it shall be lawfulfor such corporate authorities to make such change in the mannerherein provided.
