Liabilities or legal actions, effect on.

72.330. The municipality which absorbs the othermunicipalities shall assume and be responsible and liable for allthe liabilities and obligations of each of the municipalitiesbeing absorbed. Any claim existing or action or proceedingpending by or against any of the municipalities being absorbedmay be prosecuted to judgment as if the absorption had not takenplace, or the municipality which has absorbed the othermunicipality may be substituted in its place. Neither the rightsof creditors nor any liens upon the property of any municipalitywhich is absorbed shall be impaired by reason of the absorption.
