Number of deputies, assistants, and clerks and their compensation tobe set by ordinance (St. Louis).

82.610. Effective January 1, 1976, the collector shallappoint such deputies, assistants, and clerks as he may byordinance be authorized to appoint and who shall receive salariesfixed by ordinance of any constitutional charter city not locatedwithin a county. Salaries shall be paid out of the feescollected, deducted and retained as provided by sections 82.650and 82.670. The term of office of each of the appointees shallbe at the pleasure of the said collector but not to exceed theterm of office of said collector of revenue.
