Board of police, treasurer--appointment--tenure--bond (Kansas City).

84.380. One of their number shall, from time to time, beappointed by said commissioners treasurer of said board ofpolice; and his appointment, when made, shall be certified to bythe clerk of the circuit court of the county in which said citiesshall be located, under the seal of said court. Said treasurershall hold his office for such time as may be designated by thecommissioners, who may remove him at pleasure. Before he entersupon the duties of his office as treasurer, he shall give bond tothe state of Missouri, with one or more sureties, in the penaltyof ten thousand dollars, conditioned for the faithful dischargeof his duties as treasurer of the board of police and for thefaithful application and payment over, pursuant to the order anddirection of said board, of all moneys which may come to hishands as such treasurer. The bond of the treasurer shall beapproved by a circuit judge of the circuit court of the county inwhich said cities shall be located, and shall be delivered to andsafely kept by the treasurer of said cities.
