89.240. In payment for the real estate, improvements andeasements to be taken and acquired for the establishment of suchbuilding lines as are herein provided and of the damagessustained thereby, benefits shall be assessed and collected inthe same manner as provided by law in proceedings in any suchcity for the acquiring of lands for the opening of streets.
