Powers of commission--recommendations.

89.370. The commission may make reports and recommendationsrelating to the plan and development of the municipality topublic officials and agencies, public utility companies, civic,educational, professional and other organizations and citizens.It may recommend to the executive or legislative officials of themunicipality programs for public improvements and the financingthereof. All public officials shall, upon request, furnish tothe commission, within a reasonable time, all availableinformation it requires for its work. The commission, itsmembers and employees, in the performance of its functions, mayenter upon any land to make examinations and surveys. Ingeneral, the commission shall have the power necessary to enableit to perform its functions and promote municipal planning.
