Waterworks--revenue bonds, issuance--authorization for.

91.595. All cities in the state under special charter andwhich have or may hereafter have a population of not less thanthree thousand and not more than ten thousand inhabitants andwhich now own and operate or may hereafter own and operate awaterworks system may, and are hereby authorized and empoweredto, issue revenue bonds, which shall be payable solely from therevenues derived from the operation of such utility by themunicipality and not a general obligation of such city, for thepurpose of providing funds for the repair or improvement of anysuch system, including the pumping and distribution facilitiesthereof, or the replacement of any part thereof, or for theextension of any such system within or without such city as suchexpenditures are now or may hereafter be allowed by law, and forthe acquisition of all necessary easements and rights-of-waywhich such extension or improvement may require, and for thepurchase and installation of all necessary equipment andmaterials for adding additional pumping or distributionalfacilities to any such system including the purchase of anyexisting distributional facilities now or hereafter allowed bylaw.
