Attorneys, employment authorized, compensation.

92.770. 1. The collector may employ such attorneys as hedeems necessary to collect such taxes and to prosecute suits fortaxes.

2. Such attorneys shall receive as total compensation a sum,not to exceed six percent of the amount of taxes actuallycollected and paid into the treasury, and an additional sum notto exceed two dollars for each suit filed when publication is notnecessary and not to exceed five dollars where publication isnecessary, as may be agreed upon in writing and approved by thecollector, before such services are rendered.

3. The attorney fees shall be taxed as costs in the suit andcollected as other costs.
