Definitions.

104.1200. As used in sections 104.1200 to 104.1215, the followingterms mean:

(1) "Education employee", any person described in the followingclassifications who is employed by one of the institutions, otherwise wouldmeet the definition of "employee" pursuant to section 104.010 or 104.1003,and is not employed at a technical or vocational school or college:teaching personnel, instructors, assistant professors, associateprofessors, professors and academic administrators holding faculty rank;

(2) "Institutions", Truman State University, Northwest Missouri StateUniversity, Southeast Missouri State University, Southwest Missouri StateUniversity, Central Missouri State University, Harris-Stowe State College,Lincoln University, Missouri Western State College and Missouri SouthernState College;

(3) "Outside employee", any other provisions of sections 104.010 to104.1093 to the contrary notwithstanding, an education employee first soemployed on or after July 1, 2002, who has not been previously employed ina position covered by the Missouri state employee's retirement system. Anoutside employee shall not be covered by the other benefit provisions ofthis chapter, but rather shall be covered by the benefit provisionsprovided for pursuant to sections 104.1200 to 104.1215.
