Tax levy, how made in counties with township organization--assessmentbook, how prepared.

137.425. 1. In all counties which adopt townshiporganization, township taxes for township purposes may be leviedon the taxable property in the townships for the first yearfollowing the adoption of township organization, based on theassessment made in the year for which the taxes are levied.

2. The county assessor shall make out and deliver to thecounty clerk, not later than the first day of June of the sameyear, an assessment book of the county, arranged in a manner sothat it can be determined which township is entitled to the taxesassessed against any property.

3. The book shall be supplied by the county and theassessment and the list shall be based upon the assessment madeby the county assessor for the current year.
