Definitions.

137.900. As used in sections 137.900 to 137.960:

(1) "Private warehouse" is any enclosed area where personalproperty is received and stored by a warehouseman who, in thenormal course of business, receives and stores his own personalproperty;

(2) "Public warehouse" is any enclosed area in whichpersonal property is received and stored by a warehouseman who isin the business of receiving and storing such property of othersfor compensation or profit;

(3) "Warehouseman" is one who is in the business ofreceiving and storing personal property of others forcompensation or profit, or one who, in the normal course ofbusiness, receives and stores his own personal property.
