Qualifications of state board members.

161.032. The members of the board shall be citizens of highmoral standards and recognized ability in their respectivebusiness or profession, who have resided in the state for notless than five years immediately preceding their appointment, andnot more than one of whom shall be a resident of the same countyor congressional district. At no time shall more than fourmembers be of the same political party. No member of the boardshall be connected, either as an official or as an employee, withany public, private, or denominational school, college oruniversity, nor be the holder of or a candidate for any publicoffice.
