Advisory committees authorized--how appointed.

162.690. The state commissioner of education may appointsuch state and area advisory committees as he deems necessary toreview special educational services to handicapped and severelyhandicapped children and to consider any problems presented bythe commissioner of education with respect to the provision ofeducational services to handicapped and severely handicappedchildren and to give advice thereon. Such committees shallinclude persons broadly representative of community organizationsinterested in the handicapped and severely handicapped,professions related to the educational needs of the handicappedand severely handicapped, and the general public. The members ofsuch committees shall serve at the discretion of the commissionerof education.
