Vocational training to be provided.

162.895. The special school district shall provide freevocational instruction for children under the age of twenty-oneyears resident within the district's boundaries. The vocationalprogram of instruction shall be approved by the state departmentof elementary and secondary education and shall be so designed asto provide sufficient vocational and academic training for thestudent to receive a high school diploma at the completion of thetwelfth grade. The board of education of the special schooldistrict, subject to the approval of the state department ofelementary and secondary education, shall establish standards foradmission to vocational programs operated by the district.
