Reimbursement for education costs of high-need children.

162.974. 1. The state department of elementary and secondaryeducation shall reimburse school districts, including special schooldistricts, for the educational costs of high-need children with anindividualized education program exceeding three times the currentexpenditure per average daily attendance as calculated on the districtannual secretary of the board report for the year in which expenditures areclaimed.

2. A school district shall submit, through timely application, asdetermined by the state department of elementary and secondary education,the cost of serving any student, as provided in subsection 1 of thissection.
