Affidavit of expulsion for certain offenses required for studentadmission--false statements, penalty.

167.023. Prior to admission to any public school, a school board mayrequire the parent, guardian, or other person having control or charge of achild of school age to provide, upon enrollment, a sworn statement oraffirmation indicating whether the student has been expelled from schoolattendance at any school, public or private, in this state or in any otherstate for an offense in violation of school board policies relating toweapons, alcohol or drugs, or for the willful infliction of injury toanother person. Any person making a materially false statement oraffirmation shall be guilty upon conviction of a class B misdemeanor. Theregistration document shall be maintained as a part of the student'sscholastic record.
