168.409. The department of elementary and secondaryeducation may charge a reasonable fee to cover the expenses andcosts related to the services provided at the assessment centerestablished under section 168.405 or at the academy establishedunder section 168.407. Such fees shall be deposited in theexcellence in education fund. Participant travel, living andincidental costs shall be at the expense of the participant, ormay be reimbursed by a local school district.
