169.476. The retirement system may contribute toward an insuranceplan for the benefit of retired members which may provide dental, hospital,surgical, medical, life, accident, and similar insurance benefits asapproved by the board of trustees. Such contributions shall be a part ofthe administrative costs of the retirement system. The board of trusteesshall make such rules and regulations as it deems appropriate in connectionwith such plan.
