Members may designate trust as beneficiary.

169.574. Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, inaddition to any options available to members or retired memberspursuant to this chapter, any such member or retired member mayat any time designate an existing revocable or irrevocable trustor any other legal entity as the beneficiary to receive anyaccumulated contributions payable at the death of the member, theretired member or a beneficiary receiving monthly benefits underthis chapter. Such designation shall be in writing and shallcomply with rules of the board of trustees of the affectedretirement system.
