Unlawful practices--injunction, board action--penalty.

173.618. 1. Any act, method, or practice which violatesthe provisions of sections 173.600 to 173.618 shall be anunlawful practice within the meaning of section 407.020, RSMo,and the board may seek an injunction in the manner provided inchapter 407, RSMo. The board may exercise the authority grantedin subdivision (2) of subsection 2 of section 173.612 withoutseeking injunction.

2. Any person convicted of operating a proprietary schoolwithout certificate of approval or a temporary certificate ofapproval, or of failure to file bond or security as required bysections 173.600 to 173.618 or of violating any other provisionof sections 173.600 to 173.618 is guilty of a class A misdemeanorand upon conviction shall be punished in the manner provided bylaw.
