Treasurer to furnish bond--duties--reports.

174.180. 1. The treasurer of each board, before he entersupon the duties of his office, shall enter into a bond to thestate of Missouri, with good and sufficient security, in a penalsum of not less than fifty thousand dollars, to be approved bythe board, conditioned that he will faithfully perform all theduties required of him by law as such treasurer, and account forand pay over all money received by him, which bond shall be filedwith the secretary of the board.

2. The treasurer of each board shall receive, keep anddisburse all moneys under the control of the board of hisdistrict, and perform all such acts as appertain to his office,under the direction of the board, and make reports of the same tothe board at its annual meeting.

3. The treasurer of each board shall also make and furnishto the department of higher education in the month of August ofeach year, an abstract which shall contain a full account of allmoneys received and disbursed by his college during the precedingyear, stating from what source received and on what account paidout, and the amount paid to each professor, teacher or otherofficer of the college; and said treasurer shall every two yearsreport to the general assembly, under oath, an itemized statementof all receipts and expenditures for the two calendar yearspreceding, showing minutely all disbursements of money receivedfrom the state or other sources, and said college shall not beentitled to any appropriation unless such statement is so made.
