Harris-Stowe University--board of regents, appointment, terms.

174.300. 1. Prior to October 17, 1978, the governor shall, with theadvice and consent of the senate, appoint a six-member board of regents toassume the general control and management of Harris-Stowe College. Themembers of the board shall serve for terms of six years each, except forthe members first appointed, two of whom shall serve two-year terms, two ofwhom shall serve four-year terms, and two of whom shall serve six-yearterms. Not more than three of the regents shall be affiliated with any onepolitical party.

2. On and after August 28, 2005, Harris-Stowe State College shall beknown as Harris-Stowe State University, and the provisions contained insubsection 1 of this section shall continue to apply to the institution.
