Per capita cost of courses to be determined--tuition.

178.380. The school board of the district, before theestablishment of the courses of instruction, shall determine asnear as possible the per capita cost of the college courses inthe school and state the amount in its application to thecoordinating board for higher education. Upon the approval ofthe college courses by the coordinating board for highereducation and upon the establishment of the college courses inthe district, the school board may require of all residentstudents over twenty years of age and also all nonresidentstudents desiring to take the courses at the school a tuition feein the sum thought to be necessary for the maintenance of thecollege courses in the school, taking into consideration theother funds provided by law for the support of such collegecourses.
