District to collect revenues--employees, appointment andcompensation--operating costs limited--funds, distribution.

184.356. The metropolitan zoological park and museumdistrict shall collect all revenues on behalf of suchsubdistricts and shall deposit same in separate subdistrict fundsrespectively. All funds collected for a subdistrict shall bekept separate and apart from any other funds and shall be drawnupon by the proper officers of the subdistrict upon submission ofproperly authenticated vouchers. The district may render commonservices to the various subdistricts including but not limited toauditing, accounting, pension servicing and payroll. Inperforming such services the board is hereby authorized to employand appoint such persons as are deemed necessary, to fixcompensation and to cause the removal of employees and appointeesof the board. The cost of operating the district shall be borneout of the tax funds of the subdistricts based on the ratio ofeach subdistrict's tax rate to the total of the tax rates of allthe subdistricts. In no event shall such operating cost everexceed five percent of the total authorized tax revenues receivedby all of the subdistricts.
