192.138. Other provisions of the law to the contrary notwithstanding,requirements imposed by state law or regulation that institutions definedunder chapters 197, RSMo, and 198, RSMo, make notifications concerningpatients who are diagnosed as having reportable infectious or contagiousdiseases shall apply to such institutions provided that such notificationsare consistent with federal laws and rules and regulations imposedthereunder governing the confidentiality of records of patients receivingmedical assistance under the provisions of federal law.
