Department of health and senior services document services fundcreated--funding by certain fees--purpose--amount from fundexempt from lapse into general revenue.

192.323. 1. The "Department of Health and Senior Services DocumentServices Fund" is hereby created. All funds received by the department ofhealth and senior services from the fees charged for reports, studies,records and other publications and documents including data tapes andaudiovisual products produced or reproduced by the department shall becredited to the fund. The director of the department shall administer thefund. The state treasurer is the custodian of the fund and shall approvedisbursements from the fund requested by the director of the department.When appropriated by the general assembly, moneys from the fund shall beused to pay costs, including personnel costs, as follows:

(1) To pay costs associated with the collection, processing, storage,and access to documents and data;

(2) To produce publications or other documents including data tapesand audiovisual products requested by governmental agencies or members ofthe general public;

(3) To publish the publications or other documents or to purchasereports, publications or other documents including data tapes andaudiovisual products for reproduction; and

(4) To pay shipping charges.

2. An unexpended balance in the fund at the end of the fiscal yearnot exceeding fifty thousand dollars is exempt from the provisions ofsection 33.080, RSMo, relating to the transfer of unexpended balances tothe general revenue fund.
