Delayed filing, registration.

193.155. 1. When a death occurring in this state has notbeen registered within the time period prescribed by section193.145, a certificate of death may be filed in accordance withdepartment rules. Such certificate shall be registered subjectto such evidentiary requirements as the department shallprescribe to substantiate the alleged facts of death.

2. Certificates of death registered one year or more afterthe date of death shall be marked "Delayed" and shall show ontheir face the date of the delayed registration.
