Preparation necessary for bodies of persons who died of certaincommunicable diseases.

194.090. The body of any person having died of tuberculosis,puerperal fever, typhoid fever, erysipelas, measles, or otherdangerous or communicable diseases other than those specified insections 194.070 and 194.080, shall not be offered to or acceptedby any common carrier for transportation, unless such body shallhave been thoroughly embalmed by arterial and cavity injectionwith a disinfecting fluid, as specified in section 194.080; or,if such body is not so embalmed, it must be encased in anairtight metal or metal-lined burial case, coffin, casket or boxthat is closed and hermetically sealed. The body of any personhaving died of a disease that is contagious, infectious orcommunicable must not be accompanied by clothing or articles thathave been exposed to the infection of such disease.
