Annual audit by state auditor or private accounting firm--auditavailable to public--every three years comprehensive report forgovernor and general assembly, content--audit and report notadministrative expense.

196.1118. The life sciences research board shall make provision forand secure the state auditor or outside public accounting firm an annualaudit of its financial affairs and the moneys expended from the lifesciences research trust fund. Such audit shall be performed on a fiscalyear basis and the cost of such audit shall not be considered as anadministrative expense for purposes of subsection 3 of section 196.1115.The board shall make copies of each audit available to the public. Everythree years the board, with the assistance of its staff or independentcontractors as determined by the board, shall prepare a comprehensivereport assessing the work and progress of the life sciences researchprogram. Such assessment report shall analyze the impact of the board'sprograms, grants, and contracts performed, shall be provided to thegovernor and the general assembly, and shall be available to the public.The cost of such assessment report shall not be considered anadministrative expense for purposes of subsection 3 of section 196.1115.
