197.205. 1. No person or governmental unit acting severally or jointlywith any other person or governmental unit shall establish, conduct ormaintain an ambulatory surgical center in this state without a license undersections 197.200 to 197.240 issued by the department of health and seniorservices.

2. Nothing in sections 197.200 to 197.240 shall be construed to impairor abridge the authority of a governmental unit to license ambulatory surgicalcenters, provided that any ordinance of a governmental unit shall requirecompliance with all rules, regulations, and standards adopted by thedepartment to implement the provisions of sections 197.200 to 197.240.
