Definitions.

199.001. As used in sections 199.001 to 199.055, the following termsmean:

(1) "Division", the division of injury prevention, head injuryrehabilitation and local health services of the department of health andsenior services;

(2) "Head injury" includes head injury, traumatic head injury, andspinal cord injury as defined in section 192.735, RSMo;

(3) "Injury or trauma", any unintentional or intentional damage to thebody resulting from acute exposure to thermal, mechanical, electrical, orchemical energy or from the absence of such essentials as heat or oxygen;

(4) "Rehabilitation", a comprehensive series of interventions forphysical, medical, cognitive and psychological disabilities designed torestore a person to his maximum functional potential.
