Special health care needs, waiver of waiting period for coverage.

208.647. Any child identified as having "special health care needs",defined as a condition which left untreated would result in the death orserious physical injury of a child, that does not have access to affordableemployer-subsidized health care insurance shall not be required to bewithout health care coverage for six months in order to be eligible forservices under sections 208.631 to 208.657 and shall not be subject to thewaiting period required under section 208.646, as long as the child meetsall other qualifications for eligibility.
