Applications for certification, content, oath--fee notrefundable--applicant to be given date for evaluation.

209.297. 1. Applications for certification as aninterpreter:

(1) Shall be submitted in writing to the commission onforms prescribed by the commission and furnished to theapplicant;

(2) Shall satisfactorily evidence the applicant'seducation, training, experiences, certification, at the time ofapplication, the applicant is eighteen years of age or older andother information as the commission may require;

(3) Shall contain a statement that it is made under oath oraffirmation and that the information contained therein is trueand correct to the best knowledge and belief of the applicant andthat the applicant is subject to the penalties for making a falseaffidavit or declaration;

(4) Shall be accompanied by the required application fee,submitted in a manner as required by the commission and shall notbe refundable.

2. When the commission receives the application, thecoordinator hired pursuant to section 209.289 shall notify theapplicant of the earliest and most appropriate date for theapplicant to be evaluated or converted.
