Report of infant eye inflammation, by whom.

210.080. Should one or both eyes of an infant becomeinflamed, swollen or red, and show an unnatural discharge at anytime within two weeks after its birth, it shall be the duty ofthe parents or other persons having charge of such infant, toimmediately report in writing to the board of health or countyphysician of the city, town or county in which such birth occurs,the fact that such inflammation, swelling and redness of the eyesand unnatural discharge exists. On receipt of such report, theboard of health or county physician shall take such immediateaction as it may deem necessary in order that blindness may beprevented.
