215.060. 1. The commission may make mortgage loans for theconstruction and rehabilitation of such residential housing as inthe judgment of the commission has promise of supplyingwell-planned, well-designed housing for low and moderate incomepersons or families in locations where there is a need for suchhousing. Such loans may include interim as well as permanentloans, and the housing may include ancillary commercial and otherappurtenant facilities to the extent permitted by applicablecommission regulations.
2. The commission may make loans to approved mortgagorswhich may develop and operate residential housing projects undersections 215.010 to 215.250 on a rental, cooperative orcondominium basis.
3. The commission may make or purchase low interest loansto approved mortgagors in connection with weatherization ofsingle family and multifamily dwellings.
4. The commission shall establish a program to make loansto approved mortgagors for the purchase and development ofowner-occupied multiunit dwellings of not more than four unitsand other residential rental property located within one-fourthof a mile from the residence of the owner of such residentialrental property.
5. All single family and multifamily dwellings constructedunder section 215.030 shall be built according to weatherizationstandards established by the Missouri housing developmentcommission in consultation with the department of naturalresources.
