Electrified security fence systems authorized.

217.141. 1. The department of corrections shall install high voltageelectrified security fence systems at all existing and proposed maximumsecurity correctional centers. The department of corrections may, in itsdiscretion, design and install high voltage electrified security fencesystems at any or all existing and proposed medium security correctionalcenters.

2. All reasonable and necessary precautions consistent with industrystandards shall be taken by the department to protect the safety of thelocal community and department personnel.
