226.270. The said state transportation department orother body designated by law to have charge of thestate highways of the state of Missouri in case they desire tocondemn the lands, property and plants described in sections226.240 to 226.270 shall proceed in condemnation of saidproperties in accordance with the provisions of chapter 523,RSMo, so far as is applicable to said state transportation department.
