Railroads to continue levee.

245.415. Whenever a railroad passes over or along land inthis state subject to overflow by any river or creek and suchland is protected, or may be hereafter protected, by leveesconstructed to protect such land from overflows and such leveesabut on or connect with the right-of-way of the railroad, it ishereby made the duty of any person, persons or corporationsowning or operating railroads to continue and maintain the leveefrom the point where it approaches and abuts on the railroadright-of-way to the railroad embankment and to make the leveeconnect therewith. And such continuation of levee shall be on alevel with the top of the levee of the landowner as it abuts onthe railroad right-of-way.
